The booming of the skateboard culture from the late 80s to early 90s seemed to catch the eyes of many including the makers of the company we know and love Nike Brand. Underground skaters were reluctant in accepting the fact that a corporate company wanted to commercialize their sport. Nike continuously attempting releasing sneakers until one stuck the most, the dunks. With more padding than the its predecessors (terminators, dunk hi) these came with more padding and zoom-air insole. The fat-tongue was the signature of this new creation and following was the adoption of the Nike SB dunk to the underground skateboard community.
